The Galapagos Islands are considered a dream destination all year round, and they always surprise us with their different seasons.
Between December and May, you can enjoy sunny weather and ocean currents that allow you to sail in a calm sea.
If you are looking for more marine wildlife related activities, such as scuba diving or snorkeling on the surface, the season from July to November is ideal.
Although the sea can be a bit rough in those months, you don’t have to worry.
The Galapagos Islands are magical even in their most active state, known as the “Sea of the Milk Cup”.
During this period, we encounter the cold Humboldt Current.
To fully enjoy the adventure, simply put on a wetsuit and continue exploring this fascinating archipelago.
- Do I have to book in advance?
If you are particularly interested in a specific cruise or wish to have as many options as possible, it is recommended to book well in advance (between 6 and 12 months).
- How much time do I need to confirm a last minute tour?
Talking about a cruise, they are mostly available from 3 weeks to 1 month before the departure of a specific date.
It is always good to consider the closer to the departure date you make your reservation, the better the rate will be, although it will also increase the risk of not having places available.
- Is the Galapagos entry fee going to go up?
