Santa Fe Island

Located in the center of the Galapagos Islands, it is also affectionately known as Iguana Island. Located in the middle of this majestic archipelago, southeast of the vibrant island of Santa Cruz, it is a paradise to be discovered.

This relatively flat island covers an area of approximately 24 square kilometers and reaches a height of 850 feet at its highest point, presenting a series of natural wonders.

Santa Fe is one of the oldest islands in the archipelago, with a rich geological history dating back 4 to 4.5 million years. It was formed as an uplift of geological folds, which distinguishes it from neighboring volcanoes. This ancient origin contributes to the island’s unique biodiversity and makes it a fascinating study.
