Hotel pick-up
We will make a transfer by land transport to go to the highest area of Santa Cruz Island, the "Gemelos", at 864 meters above sea level.
8:00 amHiking
We will hike through these two craters to learn about their geology, flora and fauna; after this hike, the bicycles will be waiting for us.
8:30 amThe descent
Safety briefing, equipment test, and start the descent of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to a private ranch and area of the Galapagos National Park to appreciate on the way agricultural farms, the Santarroseña community.
9:15 amArrival at Santa Rosa
Where we hydrate ourselves and, depending on the season, taste sugar cane juice to recharge our batteries.
9:45 amWe continue the adventure on wheels
We take the bicycles and continue our adventure on wheels to the Ranch, along the way we are likely to see turtles.
10:00 amArrival at the lava tunnel
Where we will leave the bicycles we will cross on foot, where the guide will interpret the geology of the site and the surrounding fauna.
As we leave the tunnel, the bicycles are waiting for us to make the last part of the stretch, finally arriving at the turtle sanctuary in its natural state.

11:30 amShort walk
Refreshment and prepare for a short but informative walk with the naturalist guide, to see the giant tortoises alive in their natural state, learn about their behaviors, ages and stories that you will not find in tourist guides.
